Last year I was hoping Jack would make his appearance on Father's Day, but he decided to wait one more week. So this year is my husband's first Father's Day!
I will never forget the moment I was wheeled into the recovery room after my whirlwind of a c-section and saw my husband holding our son, tears in his eyes, for the first time. It was one of the most beautiful moments I have ever witnessed and I will always treasure seeing my boys together for the first time, father and son.

From the moment Jack was born, Jon jumped straight into fatherhood. Even in the hospital he changed countless diapers, was insistent on getting as much skin-to-skin time as possible, and made sure I got plenty of time to rest. When we got home he bumped it up another notch by doing everything around the house as well. He cooked, cleaned, changed Jack, burped Jack, got up in the middle of the night with me to change diapers between sides when I was nursing Jack, the list goes on. He was AMAZING!
Since those early newborn days Jon continues to impress me by working so hard to be the best father he can be to our son. He still changes countless diapers, "sleepifies" him when he's too crazy to nurse, puts him to bed on nights that I work, washes Jack's dishes every night, washes pump parts, sterilizes bottles, helps put away laundry, plays with Jack, feeds him, and just takes care of our little boy so well.
This year has certainly had many challenges, but through it all Jon has persevered, determined to be the best father he can be. So Happy First Father's Day to the best daddy! We love you!
