About

Hi! I'm Michelle
I'm a wife of 4 years to my husband Jon, mom to the sweetest 1-year-old baby boy named Jack, and puppy mom to Scout. I have been a Registered Nurse for 6 years and have worked in multiple settings. Jon and I recently made the big decision for me to resign from full-time nursing and fulfill my lifelong dream of being a stay-at-home mom. However, I am still working part-time for a remote phone triage company to continue using my degree, keep my skills up-to-date, and to continue to provide some income for my family.
Jon is originally from the South Shore of Boston, and after my dad retired from the Navy, my family ended up in northern Vermont. Jon and I have always loved Vermont and always dreamed of settling down here. So, in the recent spirit of fulfilling dreams, we recently moved from central Massachusetts to northern Vermont. We actually decided to move in with my very gracious and generous parents as we work on saving money toward a home and determining where we would like to settle down. Yes, I moved back in with my parents into my childhood home with my husband, baby, and dog. Crazy, right?!
I love creating warm, inviting spaces, hosting friends and family, singing at church, being part of an authentic community, keeping and making traditions, making baby mobiles for my baby and friend's babies as well as other crafts and DIYs, giving gifts to friends and family, reading a good book, hiking, exercising, cooking, baking, and spending as much quality time as possible with my sweet little family; all of which I plan to share more of here in this space.
There is so much more to our story, which I'm sure I will divulge throughout my time on this blog. But that is us and me in a nutshell.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read a little about me and my sweet family. I'm so glad you're here and hope you continue to follow along as we start this new adventure of stay-at-home mom life, Vermont life, learning how to live with your parents when you have a family of your own, crafts and DIYs, and everything else along the way!
